It is the American Identity to be able to say what you want and defend what you believe in. The American revolutionaries were radicals with their Lockean philosophy, belief in democratic self-governance, and conviction that there is an inherent right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This is in our national DNA and has faithfully been the difference maker over the course of our nation's history.
